With a foundation in construction management and a growing focus on development, advisory, and ownership, Peake Company understands how early decisions affect cost, schedule, risk, and long-term value.
We focus on projects where disciplined planning and practical execution matter most, including townhome, infill, commercial flex, mixed-use, multifamily, and value-add opportunities across Louisville, Southern Indiana, Kentucky, and select Southeast markets.
◆ THE PRINCIPAL
A.J. Peake
A.J.’s foundation is commercial construction. Before Peake Company, he spent nearly nine years as a Senior Project Manager at Whittenberg Construction, managing complex commercial and civic projects across education, healthcare, hospitality, and related sectors. His experience included senior-level project management on large-scale mid-rise and high-rise construction projects involving both CM/GC oversight and self-perform concrete trade work, a background that continues to shape how he evaluates opportunities, manages risk, and makes decisions with long-term value in mind.
He later founded Peake Built to take on select residential projects and establish a stronger foothold in the residential construction market. That work helped him build relationships with residential trade partners and better understand the nuances of high-quality residential construction, including how expectations, decision-making, and project delivery differ from commercial construction.
Peake Company was created to bring those experiences together under a broader real estate platform focused on development, advisory, Owner’s Representation, and select investment opportunities. Positioned on the owner’s side of the table, the firm helps align vision, planning, budgeting, and execution so projects can move forward with greater clarity, accountability, and long-term value.
A Louisville native, A.J. graduated from St. Xavier High School and holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Louisville J.B. Speed School of Engineering. He brings 15+ years of experience across commercial construction, residential building, development planning, Owner’s Representation, and private real estate investment.

Peake Company is the primary firm. Peake Built provides construction and execution capability. Peake Equity is intended to serve as the future capital and investment arm of the business, supporting capital relationships, investment opportunities, and long-term platform growth.
